I’ve been to Woolfest!! For those that don’t know Woolfest is an annual event held near Cockermouth in the beautiful Lake District. It’s a day of yarny heaven for all fibre nuts, focusing mainly on knitting but all things wooly, cottony, silky, hempy etc. I go every year with a couple of dear friends and have a “fix”.
So this year amongst other bits and pieces I bought these

Lovely threads from the amazing people at Oliver Twists, these will be for fun embroidery projects and art doll clothing, hair etc

this is crazy, sparkly fibre that can be added when spinning yarns, which may happen but I think I see fairy hair here.

At the moment I’m working on a knitted faerie doll, obviously all good faeries need beautiful wings

imagine my joy when I found out this yarn is called Faerie Wings 🙂

and whilst there where other bits and pieces there was finally something for me,

amazingly beautiful silk mix yarn in two weights, the thicker for a hat the finer for gloves

Happy, happy days
